My name is Danna. I'm an inspired and ambitious creative based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. My body of work is varied and timeless, built on the foundations of exploring the raw and vulnerable beauty of the human experience through Christ-like faith.
I wasn't even one yet when my parents brought me along to see 'The Lion King' at the movie theater and I didn't make a single peep. Thence started my love affair with cinema (you can't convince me otherwise). Growing up, films were like magic to me. Then I saw behind-the-scenes footage for 'The Lord of the Rings'. I saw that the magic was something I could learn to wield myself! So, I did. And luckily, that journey didn't have to take me too far from home.
To this day, the Magic is my northern star, built on the influences of 'The Lord of the Rings' and other whimsical works like 'The Dark Crystal' and 'Alice in Wonderland'.
Whether producing a drama, comedy, fantasy, documentary, or hosting community outreach events, there will always be that soft touch of wonder.
Cirsium Wildflower Entertainment, LLC
Cirsium Wildflower Entertainment was founded in 2022 and officially registered as an LLC in 2023.
Cirsium is the scientific name for the Thistle, a wildflower that grew rampant in Scotland, a trip that I will never forget. Scotland seemed to be a place set apart from the world, altogether whimsical, ancient, and organic. Not to mention all the castles (the original reason for wanting to visit)! The highlands, covered in natural grasses and flowers, and the castle structures scaffolds to countless ages and lives I could only imagine, was a thriving nesting ground for my imagination and childlike wonder. I cling to those moments through my use of the Thistle and it's scientific name.
Wildflowers in general also hold a special impact for me. Seemingly small and insignificant with no classic or striking beauty like tulips or roses, wildflowers hold a different admirable quality; their resilience. After growing all summer, they whither away in the cold months, beat down and buried by the snow, but as the weather changes, the wildflowers always regrow and flourish again.
They make me think of the word 'meekness' or 'gentleness', a fruit of the Spirit that I aim to embody in my daily life.
